Gail Schmalle Widmer
Family Service CounselorIn 1996, after spending many years in the corporate business world, Gail was led to River View Cemetery Assoc. As Family Service Counselor, it didn't take her long to realize that this was not simply a job, it is about serving the needs of people, some who are in extreme circumstances with great emotional pain and some who cannot even identify what they are feeling.
"While none of us wish to contemplate our own passing, or the death of a loved one, peace of mind is what you can provide your family by having the foresight to make all of your pre-need arrangements. It is not only the emotionally healthy thing to do, it is an unmeasureable love gift you will provide them. Since the reasons that taking care of these things are different for each person, let me urge you to allow me the privilege to visit with you for an overview of what it looks like to help you organize this part of your life.
"My passion and mission are to help people. I will always go out of my way to help you, your family, and friends in every way possible!"
Jocelyn Stewart Bagley
Family Service Counselor
"I've been in cemetery & funeral service since 2001; every day I learn something new, and get an opportunity to help others, too. I go home at night knowing that I helped make someone else's life a little easier. That's a great feeling!"
Jocelyn especially likes showing others how to create an effective, economical plan to provide protection and peace of mind for those left behind. "Let me help you and your family. We'll talk, and I'll show you how to save your loved ones the burden of making arrangements alone. My motto is 'Expect the best, always be prepared for the worst, and put your trust in God.'"
Jocelyn is an avid reader, an active volunteer in the community and school system; and a Major League Baseball fan. She makes semi-precious gemstone jewelry, and has been part of the alternative healing community for years, using crystals, reiki and color to assist others on their paths. Jocelyn has been married for over 20 years and has three sons. The Bagley family loves the Oregon Coast, and spends many evenings and weekends at school sporting events, or family movie nights. Jocelyn is a University of Oregon graduate, a Portland native, and resides in Vancouver.

Susan's first career, as a Registered Dietician, spanned twenty years. It included positions as a hospital clinical dietician, consultant to the Office for Aging Senior Nutrition and Home Delivered Meals Program, nutrition consultant for the Health Department, nursing homes and child day care centers and Hospice volunteer.

Susan is an educator who believes that knowledge about planning choices allows people to make the best decisions for their family.
"There are emotional, economic and practical reasons to organize these decisions ahead of need. It's not a question of IF the decisions are made; it's a matter of WHEN and by WHOM. As your Family Service Counselor, I am here to serve and support your family in this process."
In her free time, Susan enjoys gardening, cooking, traveling and relaxing with a good book and family activities.
